The construction of a major new pipeline in the North West is an ideal opportunity for United Utilities to add another engaging learning project to their schools portfolio. Working closely with the project management team, EBC has created a unique new education resource that directly supports the new 14-19 Engineering and Construction Diplomas.

Centred on a fully interactive website, with animated maps, videos, blogs from young UU engineers and fantastic case study materials from local schools, the new resource directly meets the work related learning requirements of the new diplomas. Students can follow progress with the project and see exactly how their classroom learning is being applied by young professionals in the real world. And, as an added bonus, the project acts as a recruitment showcase for United Utilities, helping to explain modern engineering and start a dialogue between the company and potential engineering graduates in the area.
